Description
Background
Sales people receive emails from customers with orders in the form of PDFs, which must be manually extracted line by line and inserted into Vivaldi. To partially automate this process will relieve the sales people of monotone, repetetive work and make their time available for other tasks.
We extract the order infomation from the PDFs and send them to the EDI organization where they are processed like nomral EDI orders.
Second Pilot Q1 2024
This is the second pilot in the initiative. The first pilot showed that the approach is technically feasible and that the user experince is good enough for it to be used. However things are still not scalable.
The purpose of the second pilot is to develop and refine the processes for customer onboarding as well as processes for usage that are scaleble to the whole of Ahlsell.
A second purpose is to measure efficiency gain, that is to estimate the time saved and possible accuracy improvement.
We work with Industry Stockholm where all their sales representatives (16?) will participate in the pilot. We will continually onboard new customers and at the same time learn and improve our processes.
Why is it important:
The time save for the sales people is considerable. Also, we can have better control of errors that could arise in the manual input process.
Target Group:
All sales organizations that receive PDF orders
