To support One Assortment initiativ, Logistics suggests the following set up of Material flow.
Base assumption is that transit handling is utilized
Order is placed with picking WH X and delivering WH Y. WH Y´s set up concerning transportation, delivery notes etc will apply to the order.
When delivering from WH X to WH Y ASN would be helpful for quicker processing, but not required for the MVP assuming volumes are low initially.
For returns we consider to return the to the delivering WH (Y) initially. For the item to be sellable from WH Y we want to have a similar solution as Hylla 17 in the shops where a non stocked item can be recieved and sold until the returned value of the item exeeds a defined value. If that happens a warehouse transfer to the origin warehouse should be created.
