RFID installation to support the product flow

Background and Purpose

What is the current situation? How does the project address it?

The implementation of RFID aims to ensure increased quality and traceability for all our shipping parcels through automated RFID scanning. This will significantly improve quality and reduce the number of claims related to loss and sorting errors.

The pre-analysis will provide a deeper understanding of the technology and deliver an estimate of what it will take to implement RFID scanning for all shipping parcels at the logistics center in Billund (LCB).

Main Deliverables

What will the project deliver?

There are two main deliverables:

1. Clarifications between IT (Infrastructure/SAP Development), Consafe, and Lyngsøe, including:

   • Hosting: Determine whether the solution will run internally or externally

   • Print RFID tags: Define SAP/ASTRO requirements for correct printing

   • Readability: Confirm to what extent RFID tags can be scanned in our various flows and packaging

   • Integration: Identify integration points for data exchange between systems

2. Process analysis regarding scanning points in the warehouse and the use of scanning events in SAP/ASTRO

• Pricing model for final implementation
