This initiative has been downprioritized and lack resources for continued development and support. Therefore, I suggest to shut down our own recommender system and instead use the recommendations provided by Voyado.
We currently have recommendations running on the Swedish web (start page, product page, checkout page), Norwegian web (checkout page), and the App (start page). We will have to keep the App recommendations alive until we can call the Voyado API. For the Web a controlled shut down seems feasible soon.
Background
The online store channels (web, app etc.) have panels with product recommendations. We want optimized and personalized panels that generate more sales and customer engagement.
Why is it important:
The recommendation panels contribute with around 5% of the sales on the web page. An increase in the efficiency of the panels will have a sizeable impact on the revenue. Furthermore, we want to have an omichannel strategy where we can use the same recommendation system in all digital channels.
