Background and Purpose
What is the current situation? How does the project address it?
Our product creation process today is time-consuming and tailored to Ahlsell's own standards for master data. With the new EL strategy, it has been decided that we will build the category based on the market standard ETIM and ensure a digital and scalable business model that minimizes manual creation and maintenance of product master data and pricing. Our current system cannot immediately support ETIM and is heavily manual, so a new way of digitally supporting these processes must be found.
Main Deliverables
What are the main outputs of the project?
· Mapping requirements for ETIM and digital support to ensure a scalable business model for the EL category, aligned with Ahlsell DK’s overall strategy
· Cross-checking requirements with other categories and acquisition strategies to understand overlaps and limitations as input for requirements
· Exploring technological opportunities within and outside the group – selecting vendors to bid on the task
· Setting up a system to support ETIM
· Optimizing EL on the webshop
· Integration to relevant systems
· Product creation
· Product pricing
· Go-to-market strategy
