Description
Background
During 2019-2020 there was an initiative discovering the business requirements for this purpose.
There are documentation available describing the findings. These documents are linked to the user story https://ahlsell.atlassian.net/browse/VIV-176.
However it is important that when this initiative starts, a new discovery is conducted with involvment from product and also store organization.
Executive summary of finding from previous investigation.
Too rigid rules to start the phasing out process.
There can't be any movement (e.g. open order) on the item to start the phasing out
No possibility to define, manage & follow up "phasing out projects"
At present, it is impossible to select and follow up a group of items that a responsible person has initiated. ==> Suggestion: Phasing out governance at project level instead of item level
Too complex and non-transparent automatic rules ==>
Suggestion: Timed phasing out actions at project levelInsufficient information about ongoing movements ==>
Suggestion: Address activities (e.g. finalize open orders) to the right person, through a structured data modelPhasing out items is an iterative process rather than a linear process
