Description
ASN for LC goods receiving
The Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) format for Advanced Shipping Notes (ASNs) follows the PEPPOL BIS (Business Interoperability Specifications) for Despatch Advice (commonly known as ASN). The PEPPOL BIS ASN is based on the UN/CEFACT (United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business) Cross-Industry Invoice (CII) standard.
Here are key components of the standard Peppol ASN format:
Document Header:
Identification information, such as document type, issue date, and sender/receiver details.
Reference Numbers:
Unique identifiers for the ASN and related documents, like purchase orders or shipment references.
Parties Involved:
Information about the involved parties, including the buyer, seller, and any intermediaries, with their respective identifiers.
Goods Descriptions:
Details about the shipped goods, including item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and any applicable unit of measure.
Packaging Information:
Information regarding how the goods are packaged, including package types and quantities.
Logistics Information:
Details about the shipment, such as delivery dates, carrier information, and handling instructions.
Location Information:
Addresses and location details for both the sender and receiver, as well as any intermediary parties.
Transport Instructions:
Information about the transportation method and any specific instructions for delivery.
It's important to note that Peppol ASNs are typically exchanged in a structured XML format following the PEPPOL BIS specifications. These standards aim to facilitate seamless cross-border trade and interoperability between different business systems within the Peppol network. The use of standard formats enhances efficiency and reduces errors in the exchange of shipping information.
