Improved integration support in STEP for M&A
Description
Background
As part of the Master Data Strategy 2030, Ahlsell wants to have a clear and efficient way of integrating product & supplier data to and from acquired companies
The Master Data Organization and the Product Organization have expressed a need to get improved integration support for the M&A-process when on-boarding items. This is today a manual process handled via excel and mail. The process is time consuming and fragile.
External tool has been evaluated, but decision has been taken to develop the needed functionality in our existing Master Data system STEP.
WHY
To help Master Data Specialists and Product Managers to work more efficient and minimize risk for errors
Improve possibility to access all Ahlsell company / country data from one common source (through better matching)

Support for assortment and supplier analysis and decision.
Remove current excel handling and conversations via mail.
Possibility to work with M&A projects in STEP (new project entity)
Follow-up & measure completeness of project fulfillment
Possibility to simulate item matching
Workflow support and follow-up
Accessible for all countries using STEP (SE, NO, FI, VVS Trading DK)
